Ingredients

  • Spaghetti: 2.8 oz
  • Dried sardines: 0.9 oz
  • Water: 1/4 cup
  • Garlic: 2 cloves
  • Olive oil: 1.5 Tbsp
  • Wangshin Fish Sauce: 1 tsp Buy
  • Shiso leaves: 10
  • Unsalted butter: 0.35 oz
  • Parsley: to taste

Directions

  • Soak the dried sardines in the specified amount of water on the packaging, then squeeze out the liquid. Keep the liquid aside.
  • Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions.
  • In a frying pan, heat olive oil and finely chopped garlic over low heat until it turns golden.
  • Add the sardines and sauté, then add half of the soaking liquid in step 1 along with Wangshin Fish Sauce, shiso leaves, and butter. Adjust the seasoning with the remaining liquid to taste.
  • Lightly toss and mix the spaghetti in the sauce, plate, and sprinkle with parsley.
